Yushin Exhibits once again at the National Plastics Exposition after cancelling during the pandemic in 2021

Cranston, Rhode Island: Yushin is excited and proud to announce their plans for NPE2024. Attendees will expect to see so much more automation and downstream equipment running in our booth than the last NPE show in 2018. The company will present more running work cells showing innovative applications of the operating robots than ever before – in the Yushin booth as well as throughout the show hall. The 2018 booth highlighted the markets that are served with the broad Yushin product line and introduced Smart Manufacturing. This year, the focus is on sustainability and innovation, as well as adapting to the specific needs of the attendee.

This center highlight at the show
The all-new MKA Large robot will demonstrate the end-of-arm tooling exchange with Yushin’s patented end of arm tooling quick change plates and equipped with a 3-axis ABC servo wrist. The MKA-2000S features a 3-axis cartesian style traverse robot with a movable kick beam and a 2-stage telescopic vertical arm. The MKA-2000S robot works on machines of 1500 molding tons and larger. Suitable for the Automotive, Appliance and Industrial industries. Attendees will be able to get a safe and unrestrictive view of Yushin’s newest large robot model in action.

WEMO now powered by Yushin
Yushin is also proud to have partnered with Wemo Automation AB (Sweden) (“Wemo”) from HAHN Group (Germany) (“HAHN”) at the show and will demonstrate the collaboration in one of our cells. Stop by and see how user friendly and easy to program the WEMO X120 Xline robot is using the unique W-HP12 WIPS 4.0 (Wemo Intuitive Programming Software) that guides the operator through the program, quickly and easily. The robot’s movement are powerful and dynamic, equipped with servo-driven rotational axes. Overall, the WEMO xLine series is beneficially used for multi-operation tasks such as assembly, quality control, and packaging.

Full assembly line on a vertical press
Yushin will showcase a fully automated work cell with multiple robots working together to complete several tasks. Three Yushin robots will be utilized for this application on a Niigata MDV85S8000 molding machine to mold a two-cavity polypropylene battery canister. The Yushin RC2-1525S-19-11-SE robot will handle the placing of inserts into the mold and remove the finish product. The 6 – Axis robot ABB IRB 1300 with 311kg and .9 M reach from ABB Powered by WEMO is used to locate the inserts using the WEMO vision system and vibration feeder. The Yushin RC2-1525S-19-11-SE robot will be used to present the parts to degating station to trim the parts, which will be inspected by a Keyence camera before the Productive Robotics OB-7 co-bot picks the parts and places the parts onto a Yushin conveyor.

Ultra-high-speed robot stacking molds
This High-Speed Molding cell features a LS Mtron (Wood Dale, IL) theOne120E molding machine molding 4 Polystyrene drinking cups in under 5 seconds. This exhibit is an excellent example of a fully integrated production cell designed for High-Speed production and packaging right beside the molding machine. This cell features two Yushin robots working together, a Yushin HSA-150S-17-95-EII High Speed and a Yushin YD-0310S-14-7 standard take-out robot. The High-speed HSA robot picks the parts with Yushin’s 4 cavity end-of-tool and stacks the parts on a nest. The Yushin YD robot picks up the stacked parts and moves to a Yushin custom tote conveyor. Full totes are sent to the gravity roller outfeed conveyor and a new tote conveys to the loading position.

The Kendama Toy is making its USA introduction
The Kendama toy will be molded on a Shibaura machine (Elk Grove Village, IL) EC 200 SX injection molding machine. The toy is made from ABS material donated by PolySource (Overland Park, KS). The FRA robot with custom end of arm tooling will not only remove the molded parts form the mold but also feed and cut the string into the mold and assemble the parts. The string handling equipment and the custom assembly station were both designed and built by Yushin Precision Equipment company in Kyoto, Japan. If you need something to pass the time, grab a Kendama and test your skills in our booth.
Yushin Robot plays the Kendama
Test your Kendama skills against the FRA robot. See the Yushin FRA robot skillfully play with precision and accuracy with the Kendama toy. Grab your own Kendama from our molding cell and see if you can match the skills of the FRA robot. Best of Luck.

Everyone Enjoys a Cold one on Yushin
Yushin will showcase its contribution to the creation of a sustainable society and environment, by molding 12 oz. can handles from DuraPET material donated by Polyvisions Inc, (Manchester, PA). The 4-cavity mold provided by Kena Corp. (Dover, PA) will run in the Sumitomo SE 180 (Suwanee, GA) injection molding machine with a Yushin RC2-2535S-15-13-SE with custom end of arm tooling and downstream assembly station. The parts will be removed from the machine and presented to an IQJET printer provided by Leibinger (East Try, WI), to print on the parts and then the robot will assemble the handle to the cans. Stop by the Yushin booth 3369 and get your hands on the Grip & Sip can handle and keep the cold one cold.
