Yushin has begun a $2,000,000 expansion that will increase the manufacturing and warehousing space in their Cranston, RI facility by 77%.
Construction should be completed by mid to late spring 2015. Current plans will see a doubling for robot assembly bays; the next phase which is due to be completed in the next two to three years will provide a tripling of those bays.
Steady growth in the industrial robotics markets has provided the need to increase floor space and manpower. Currently Yushin is spearheading an initiative with local educational institutions to develop training programs to better equip the new workforce with relevant skills. With Yushin’s assistance, local schools have altered their curriculum to offer relevant CNC machining and technical education courses. In addition to hiring a number of those graduates, Yushin also provide internships to students enrolled in those programs.
In an effort to be ready before the expansion is complete, Yushin is actively searching for qualified candidates in mechanical engineering, robot assembly, customer support, field service technicians, sales administration and marketing administration.
